PAUL DI'ANNO 'Reworks' IRON MAIDEN Classic 'Running Free' (Audio)
November 9, 2011Former IRON MAIDEN singer Paul Di'Anno has posted four more demo tracks "Can You Hear Me Now?", "Psycho Sniper", "Only Fools Die Laughing" and a "reworking" of the IRON MAIDEN classic "Running Free" which may appear on his "soon-to-be-recorded" new album. Check them out in the YouTube clips below. Also available is the previously released demo song "Black Boots".
Di'Anno in 2006 re-released his 2000 effort, "Nomad", with a few tracklist alterations, under the title "The Living Dead" (Cleopatra Records). The package came with a bonus DVD that contained the music video for "The Living Dead" and an exclusive in-depth, tell-all interview in which Di'Anno discussed his days with IRON MAIDEN.
Di'Anno's recent batch of dates was his first since being jailed in March after he falsely collected U.K. government benefits by claiming he suffered nerve damage to his back that prevented him from working.
Di'Anno was sentenced to nine months for swindling 45,000 (approximately $72,000) in benefits. He was told he would serve at least four and a half months of the sentence behind bars before being released on conditional bail.
Di'Anno completed his first North American tour in early 2010, 17 years after he was deported following a prison term for guns and drug offenses.
